The study was prepared as part of the ELSTA research and development project ("Promotion of Electric Mobility through Standardisation") and is funded by the BMWi (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy). In this project, overarching, coordinating measures and public relations work are carried out and targeted support is provided for German industry and research institutions in setting norms and standards in order to achieve the reduction of energy consumption in transport by around 40 percent in 2050 (compared to 2005) envisaged in the energy concept.
